Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at Food Network. Food Network. Her signature spiky blonde hair and her pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of eating out and offers concise easy-to-master techniques for the at-home cook in her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell worked for a time in New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary practices and the geography. Also, she was a contestant on Iron Chef America on Food Network. Burrell was born living in New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her after she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was the place where I experienced the most fun time of my life. I couldn't learn enough couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. After graduating Chef Burrell resided in Italy for a year, taking classes at classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Also, she was employed at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin star restaurant) located in Tuscany. While in Italy she grew to truly be aware of the philosophies behind Italian cuisine and culture which made a lasting impression on her culinary viewpoint. Burrell is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens the lives of children who are struggling. Burrell is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Advocate where she has a mission to raise awareness for juvenile diabetics. She speaks about her cooking love and imparts her experiences in the food world, as she regularly is in the United States for both her roles as speakers and mentors. Anne always felt fortunate that she was able to share her passion of cooking with others.

Pleshette began her stage career and made appearances in films in the late 1950s.
